Rice cookers are everyday kitchen appliances found in virtually every Japanese home. In recent years, these devices have evolved in various ways. In the US, rice cookers are cheap. You can buy them almost anywhere.
Price should not be your only thought though. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. When you buy a rice cooker at Wal-Mart or other discount stores, they sell ones that do not keep the rice warm and moist after it is cooked so in a short amount of time you will have rice that is dry and doesn’t taste good.
The good news is you can buy a higher end rice cooker online for about the same price you can get a rice cooker at Wal-Mart and have perfect rice every time.

These are great – I have a Tefal steamer myself. I cannot believe these prices – the dollar price is lower than I paid in pounds here in the UK. Us Brits are getting ripped off.
