A good rice cooker
|
| Review Date: July 8, 2009 |

The 7-cup aroma rice cooker is a good one for the price. That's said, do not expect fancy features on this one. There is one thing you should know: the cooker is not non-stick so there will be some burned/sticky rice at the bottom (if you buy a non-stick cooker, there will be no stick). However, if you are ok with that (I am cool with that), then the cooker is a good buy: it cooks rice. One small tip for others who may have not much experience with rice cooking: the key in rice cooking is to get the right amount of water and this varies from rice to rice, you need to cook (use the standard cup measure and the water level number as rough guidance only).
Overall, a good buy because of the price, if you are looking for a no-frill/inexpensive rice cooker. |

| I owned a similar Rice Cooker for over 30 years and it just finally quit working. So, I selected this one and I love it. I found that when cooking rice that it works best to use the package recommendations for water/rice ratio rather than the directions that come with the cooker. I have also steamed vegetables in it and that works great too! Love this rice cooker! |

| Effective & inexpensive rice cooker. Prepares softer grain rice (Thai Jasmine) to perfection. Black, brown, & red varieties use more water & take longer to cook. Spray a small amount of oil in the bottom of the removable, aluminum pot to help prevent sticking. Automatic thermostat switches to warm when done, keeping rice warm for hours. |

| This cooker is definitely a time saver. I can just put in the rice, water, and butter and not worry about the boiling & changing temperatures. Great item. |
